Chicago Flower & Garden Hat

We’re welcoming spring at the Chicago Flower & Garden Show this week! Plan to join me as we tour 25 gardens where the theme is “FLOWERTALES: Every Garden Has A Story To Tell”, brought to you by our sponsor Jackson & Perkins, March 14-18 at Navy Pier. You can tweet questions and comments as you discover the thrill of expanding your own garden’s story. We’ll tour the gardens, take pictures, and ask questions as we go. With an exciting new five-day format and a jam-packed schedule of things to do, see, and learn; we’ll interpret the unique role flowers, plants, and gardens play in the stories of our lives. During the show, “FLOWERTALES: Every Garden Has A Story to Tell”, our story will focus on an interactive social media listening session. We want to hear from YOU! I’ll also explore with attendees in an interactive and highly visual presentation what visitors want to achieve in their gardens with roses. Today, there are so many types of roses to choose from that suit all lifestyles. I plan to explore the exciting, easy care Jackson & Perkins varieties of roses, suitable for busy lives that include environmentally friendly and minimal care plants. Remarkably, many gardeners perceive roses as difficult to grow and are hesitant about adding roses to their garden landscapes. We will dispel that myth via education.

Today there are roses to choose from that fit any lifestyle and personal preference. I’ll explore the methods and easy steps to see quick and lasting results with these wonders of the garden world.” ~ Susan Fox
